Well, at the last minute, we were invited to go camping w/our friends, the Sherwood's. We didn't have reservations anywhere, but were going to wing it and see what we could find. We tried Heyburn Sate Park, but the first-come-first-serve was booked already. So, with some research and phone calls, we found a site at St Regis RV Campground in Mt. It was very pretty, but not very campy (in the woods). The first night we all slept in the camper (4 adults, 2 toddlers & two infants). Needless to say, it was a little too crowded! But, we brought our tent just in case.
At St Regis, we intended to go on a bike ride, but my hubby's innertube tire blew! So, he walked along side us and we just rode a little bit around the camp site.
The next two nights we were fortunate enough to get reservations at Lolo Hotsprings Campground. It took a while to drive there, but we made it.
The first night, the boys let Jandre and I go to the commericial hotsprings across the street; aren't they sweet!
We had a great site and were able to put up our tent. We were right next to the river. It was so beautiful, but scary because the kids were running around and we had to make sure they stayed away from the river.
The next day, we all went to the hotsprings. The kids loved it! Dom got cold though and then it started pouring down rain! At the campsite, we had left out games, clothes and our camping chairs. Oops!
Later that night we took turns going to springs as couples while the other couple watched our kids.
Vince and I went first from 8pm to 9pm. It was Sunday. Then the Sherwood's went shortly after 9pm. They returned about 30 min later. It turns out that on Sun and Wed from 9pm to 10pm, is nudists hours! Our poor friends got quite an eyeful and got jipped on alone time at the springs.
We got rained on a few times, but stayed dry in the tent. We had some really yummy dinners and the BEST smores!
The morning we left, Lil got sick and threw up three times after her morning bottle. She had the flu for a couple days, but she's all better now.
Here are a bunch of pics from our trip.
My handsome hubby walking along side us as we rode our bikes.
Forrest taking some video and the kiddos enjoying the bike ride.
At the camp site there's a mining camp we checked out.
Thankfully, the babies fell asleep! That's Lil and Micah under the hat.
Forrest and Vince at St Regis trying to find an open site in Lolo.
Our view at Lolo Campground. That's how close the river was to us!
Here's our tent. My in-laws got this for us two Christmas' ago. It was my first time using it. It's so nice! It has three doors and a room divider.
Our sweet little boy enjoyed a much needed smore!
Jandre's PERFECT smore!
Jandre took this VERY cute picture of her little boy, Logan!
Bug licking his chops!
We did have some motor probs w/the camper, but thanks to our hubby's (that's mine underneath the camper) they got it working.
My handsome hubby!
Me and Micah chillin while Jandre and Forrest were enjoying nudist hours! LOL!
Every time I tryed to take a picture of Logan, he wouldn't cooperate. Finally, when his parents left for the hotsprings, he let me and I became his new best friend! He even wanted me to put him to bed that night. So sweet.

What a fun weekend! The nudist thing is hilarious! SOmething that you will always remember, I'm sure.
Btw, I can't wait to hang out when I get back!!!!!!
What fun! I love camping but not sure how I would feel doing it with kids. That river would have made me extreamly nervous!
What cute cute pictures!
Oh my heck, that is so funny about poor Jan and Forrest getting in on the nude hot spring hours, lol.
Sounds like you guys made some good memories. And you totally don't look bad at all with no makeup and glasses. Not too many people pull that look off well, but you are cute! ;)
So fun! What a great vacation!
